Registering a Company Out of Office Hours
One indisputably good aspect of the internet is that it allows consumers to shop at their own convenience. Gone are the days of having to leave work early and rushing to the shops to buy things before they close.
These days a person can just switch on their computer in the evening and surf the various comparison shopping websites and make their selection. In most cases they can pay and receive the relevant order confirmations at their email address all out of traditional shopping hours.
Registering a company is no different. A person can “visit” a formation agent, carry out a name search and incorporate their company in the middle of the night if they choose.
At whatever time they then choose to sleep, they can do so in the knowledge that their company is well on the way to being registered. Or can they?
Company Formations Need Sleep as well
What the customer thinks has happened has not in fact taken place.
In most cases it is unlikely that the company registration application has not left the company formation agent’s system. It is just sitting there waiting for Companies House to re-open in the morning.
Even if the company set-up request have been sent to Companies House, instead of taking up space on the company registration agent’s system, The registrar of Companies is not awake and therefore the formation will remain in a queue until 9 am the following morning.
