Submitting a Full List of Shareholders on an Annual Return

A full list of a company’s shareholders is required to be submitted with the first annual return following the entity’s incorporation.

Subsequently, a document which provides details of all members must be included with every third return which the company make.

Details of Shareholders

The information required about each company shareholder includes their name and residential (this applies to previous members who are no longer holders of equity).

The amount of each class of share owned at the return date and the issue date of any equities which have been transferred by a shareholder.

In exception circumstances, where there is a large number of shareholders, the full list can be delivered to Companies House on a CD or DVD disk.

Prior approval must be obtained before such media is used for this purpose.
