The Form LLAD01 is the limited liability partnership equivalent of the Form AD01 used for UK companies to change their registered office address. As with all Companies House forms, it can only be used in situations where the LLP is not a member of the webfiling proof scheme. This regime prohibits the Registrar of Companies from accepting paper forms.
The details entered on the Form LLAD01 consist of the LLP’s official registration number (beginning with “OC”) and the full name of the incorporated entity. The new registered office address of the limited liability partnership is then entered and the document signed by a partner or other authorised person.
Restrictions which apply to UK companies regarding changing of registered offices are also applicable to LLP’s in that a limited liability partnership incorporated in England and Wales can not then relocate its official address to say Scotland or Northern Ireland and visa versa.
The completed LLAD01 form should be despatched to Companies House offices in either Cardiff for England and Wales limited liability partnerships, Edinburgh for Scottish LLP’s and Belfast for Northern Ireland entities.
