Pop-up Blocker Toolbars
Google Toolbar
- Google Toolbar installs across the top of an internet browser and allows the user to customise the buttons which are visible. The choice of features available expands over time and includes newsfeeds from various sources, reference materials and dictionaries. The pop-up blocker function notifies the user when an item has been blocked by playing a sound and flashing. A decision can then be made as to whether or not to allow the pop-up to appear.
Pop-up Stopper
- Pop-up Stopper comes in two editions, a free version and a professional application which must be purchased. The free edition blocks pop-up ads from the internet and from messenger applications which can conserve computer and internet bandwidth for tasks which the user required. The professional version extends protection to the desktop and also allows the user to manage their cookies with a feature to delete those which track a computer's browsing.
Clean My PC
- Clean My PC provides a toolbar interface displaying the number pages blocked and options on whether to allow them to open. The pop-up blocker currently only supports Microsoft operation systems running Internet Explorer version or above.
