MySQL
MySQL is an open source database application commonly used in online environments, such as websites and datawharehousing programs which require the storage, retrieval and deliverance of information in reading formats. MySQL is flexible and relatively easy to use whilst at the same time maintain a sturdy and robust data storage facility. The program is available on over 20 operating system platforms including Windows, Mac OS and Red Hat Linux architectures.
Limewire
Limewire is a peer to peer file sharing program which allows people to share and distribute their personal files with others worldwide. Limewire is free from spyware and adware and can work efficiently without having to disable personal or corporate firewalls. Newer versions have iTunes integration and provide users with the feature of drilling down search result to obtain greater detail.
Note: When using Peer to Peer networks users should be aware that the sharing, downloading or the otherwise dissemination of copyrighted material is illegal.
Active Web Reader
Active Web Reader allows users to download and view RSS feeds from a personal computer. The browser support can actively search for new feeds which then can be added to the relevant category for viewing. As a newsfeed updates, Active Web Reader displayed the new article to the user keeping them up top date with the latest information. There is currently only a Microsoft Windows version available which supports operating systems form Windows 98 through to Vista.
