- Real Player integrates video, music and radio all in one application. It offers the user hundreds of radio stations to, listen to and provides exclusive music from its associates and partners. In addition there are customisable features such as skins and cross-fade functionality to allow the user to create their own styles.
Windows Media Player
- Windows Media Player is similar to Internet Explorer in so far as it is including and installed with every modern day version of a Microsoft desktop operating system. The newer versions of the media player offer an application capable of storing and playing all types of multimedia in a variety of formats. Synchronisation with portable music and video devices is a more recent feature which offers a easy set-up for mp3 players and mobiles phones.
VLC Media Player
- VLC Media Player is a cross platform application for playing and streaming videos and music. It can display a variety of formations from DVD to WAV, the exception being Real files from Apple. VLC has its own inbuilt codecs pack and reducing the requirement to download additional filters from the internet. It comes in a variety of skins to compliment personal taste and has a support forum to deal with an reported issues.
